Introduction: Practice- and patient-oriented evidence-based medicine (EBM) curricula can improve patient care. Curriculum development is based on an initial needs assessment of the targeted participants. It is unknown whether general practitioners (GPs) involved in teaching are actually interested in EBM curricula. Therefore, the aim of this study was to quantitatively and qualitatively assess the interest of these GPs in further training in EBM. Methods: Our 202 GPs were involved in a written survey using standardized questionnaires addressing their interest in and proposals for EBM curricula, along with their favored topics.
