Objective: Early stage glottic cancer can usually be successfully treated, as it gives early symptoms and is relatively easy to resect. The vocal cords are poor in lymphatic pathways, so regional metastases are rare. Preservation of the main laryngeal functions: phonation, respiration and swallowing is essential and has great impact on quality of life.Materials and methods: We conducted a retrospective study on 26 patients with early laryngeal carcinoma stage Tis or T1, who underwent LASER chordectomy at Ministry of Interior Medical Institute, Sofia for a period of 2 years.Results: After the operation all patients with Tis and T1a were with histologically clean specimen margins.
