Positive effects of physical activity on cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, symptoms of fatigue and health related quality of life have repeatedly been proven in patients with cancer. This led to an emphasis on physical elements in rehabilitative cancer therapy. Furthermore, several studies suggest that physical activity can also prolong the patients' life span significantly.
