The Electrodeposition of Rubber from Latex

Part of the writer\u27s undergraduate work in chemical engineering consisted of cooperative work in the rubber industry. The noise, dust and fumes which are characteristic of the industry, seem to create a familarity [sic] and liking for them. It is only natural, that since there are great possibilities in the electrodeposition of rubber; that the author\u27s interest should gravitate in that direction. A great part of the information pertaining to this anode process is more or less of industrial value, and as a consequence the literature concerning it is limited. The investigations followed in these experiments consisted in the examination of the anodic properties of various metals and a subsequent classification of these metals according to the periodic and electromotive series.
