A Study of the Change in Potential of a Rotating Electrode

Research, especially with phenomena which involve fundamental principles, has always been fascinating and worth-wile. It is the means by which science progresses. The study of rotating electrodes belongs to this type of investigation. Through rotating electrodes have been used in only a few technical processes for the last forty years, recent work with high speed electrodes suggest the expansion of their use in industry. Despite their increasing importance in commercial applications, little is known about the function they play in electrolytic processes; hence, it was the purpose of this paper to submit evidence, showing the relationship between rotation and electrolysis, by studying the changes in potential that an electrode undergoes with rotation
