This paper uses qualitative interview data about learning by older men (over 50 years) collected in 2009 from nine community-based organisations in a regional city in New South Wales. It sets out to identify the learning experienced and available in community settings, to reflect on how adult and community education (ACE) in Australia might be more broadly defined, understood and valued in ways that is more inclusive of older men.
