Don Ewart is holding the remains of a wooden figurehead from the Magnat which was wrecked on the beach at Tarwin Meadows in 1900. The ship was originally named Edward Pembroke. Local tradition says that ship's name was Duke of Pembroke and that the figurehead is a likeness of the Duke.Item held by Centre for Gippsland Studies, Federation University Australia
