Precision grinding companies accumulate a large quantity of chips during the grinding process and are left with the problem of disposal. With support from Saint-Gobain Abrasives, a project was constructed in order to research this subject and potentially combat the dilemma. This report investigates the issues and problems associated with recycling ferrous material, resulting in an overview of current recycling within the precision grinding industry and a technological trend for two types of recycling equipment
