In this study, we develop some steps of a ray tracing method for shock wave modeling in a lithotripter. Every individual ray undergoes refraction when crossing a triangulated boundary between two adjacent tissues with different impedances. The transmission angle is uniquely defined for 2-manifold tissue objects. Within every tissue, a nonlinear distortion of a shock pulse is taken into account using a simplified quasi-planar approach. The viscous damping is neglected due to the lack of material data. Instead, we apply the Voronoi partition in every transversal plane in order to find the wave amplitude and intensity at a particular point.
