Visual perception is an everyday skill applied by all. In this study, we wanted to see whether training and experience enhance this skill or whether it is an innate ability. To answer this question, we tested radiologists and technicians (trained individuals) and college students (lay people) by analyzing their perceptual skills in the interpretation of specific images. There was no significant difference among the groups. Therefore, we conclude radiology training does not translate to or enhance general visual perceptual skills
