The objective of this study was to examine the effects of instrumental music and music with words on reading comprehension. Eye-tracking data was used as one of the primary methods of data collection, in order to measure the number of eye fixations and reading/viewing times. It is expected that reading and viewing times will increase for the music with words condition due to the interference of words in the music with the words being read.
