Microwave energy was utilized to synthesize many types of catalysts including bismuth molybdate, cerium oxide. The physical characteristics of these catalysts were determined mainly through XRD analysis. From this test, microwave method was determined to be ineffective in the improvement of advanced catalyst synthesis. The results showed that grain sizes and phase purity were not improved greatly by using microwave radiation
