As technology progresses non-traditional devices will be connected to The Internet of Things (IoT). Devices in the IoT will be capable of notifying their owners of their status. These notifications can have severe penalties if not responded to correctly. While research has been done on how humans han- dle security notifications, none has been done for notifications that deal with physical safety. Using an online study, this project explored how participants responded to and recalled these new notifications.
