The purpose of this project was to research and improve the design and operation of a Continuous Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigerator (CADR). Experiments focused on improving the methods used to produce the CADR salt pill, improving the operation of the CADR heat switch, and testing the properties of a new salt pill material, Dysprosium Gadolinium Gallium Garnet
