Warfare transformed in the 17th century.

This project discusses the transformation of warfare in 17th-century Europe. At the beginning of the century, armor was prevalent on the battlefield and medieval tactics were still in place, but by the end of the century armor had been almost entirely displaced by firearms, and modern linear tactics were predominant.
