Research was conducted on the vehicular fuel cell infrastructure in Japan. Reasons for the switch to a hydrogen economy were found; and the past, present and future roles of supporting organizations were determined. The results were analyzed and an estimate to Japan\u27s progress toward a hydrogen economy was made
