The purpose of this project is to redesign selected labs described in Applied Statistics for Engineers and Scientists, by Petruccelli, Nandram and Chen. Through educational research and review of existing materials, we designed innovative learning tools. SAS based labs were converted to web-based Java applets, culminating in a comprehensive website including all necessary lab instructions, providing a new learning environment. Through surveys and student-program observations, we assessed the potential for success when incorporated in the introductory statistics sequence at WPI
