The purpose of this project is to research, design and construct the power train for WPI\u27s 2004 Formula SAE race car adhering to the rules set forth by the Society of Automotive Engineers. This included selecting an engine, designing intake/exhaust systems, cooling system, advanced electronic system and wheel carrying assemblies. These components were concurrently engineered and manufactured along with the rest of the vehicle. The efforts of the entire formula SAE team resulted in the successful completion of the car
