The objective of this project was to design, manufacture and test alpine skis. Thoroughly detailed design methods were applied to produce two prototype skis that varied in torsional stiffness. This process was facilitated through the construction of a mold for assembling the skis. Both skis were successfully constructed and bench-tested using ASTM developed torsional stiffness tests. On-slope tests were also effectively conducted for personal and subjective comparisons of each ski. Both sets of tests provided results for comparison between the two skis.
