Removing heavy metals from waste water has always been a challenge. The different techniques that are offered today are limited to using other solvents that can potentially release secondary toxic materials and affect the environment and human health. Promising research using activated carbons as wastewater treatment have shown that it is an ecological alternative to the current methods.
