The EU emergency Call (eCall) system is designed to be used as a vehicle emergency telematics system to reduce the fatality and save lives in vehicle accidents. In-Vehicle System (IVS) is a built-in modem to process the eCall functionality in vehicles. The IVS employs multiple modules for signal processing including cyclic redundancy check (CRC), Turbo Encoder, Hybrid automatic repeat-request (HARQ), BCH Decoder, Modulator and Demodulator.
