Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis usually occurs in patients with a precipitating condition such as thrombophilic disorders, pregnancy or due to medications, such as oestrogens. Some case reports have reported the co-occurrence of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in patients with hyperthyroidism.
