As alcohol has become a growing issue on college campuses, binge drinking has developed into an influential part of a student’s life, likely effecting many sectors including relationships. Subsequently it can be presumed that binge drinking would have a negative effect on committed romantic relationships. Out of the 138 Butler University student respondents, 45 reported being involved in a committed romantic relationship. From these 45 students, 88.9 % reported they consumed alcohol. Findings revealed that drinking patterns were similar between the respondent and romantic partner.
