Parents aren\u27t involved: Examining parental involvement barriers from the perspectives of parents and teachers

My research was a study regarding possible parental involvement barriers in the educational system from both the perspectives of the parents and teachers. Considering that parental involvement usually has a positive effect on children\u27s education, I wanted to find out what barriers were hindering parental involvement from being implemented at school. I received data from questionnaires given to parents and teachers, and I also observed parent-teacher conferences. I concluded that time-oriented barriers were encountered by both parents and teachers. I did not, however, find that teachers nor parents encountered psychological barriers
