Sustainability of infrastructures is acknowledged to be a global problem that requires a complex solution. To implement sustainability practices over the lifecycle of an infrastruc-ture, its entities are to be studied both separately and in conjunction with each other. Bridg-es are the key elements of transportation infrastructure and their sustainability is not yet paid sufficient attention to.
