Viable somatic cell storage in cryogenic tanks is an essential step on bovine cloning achievement through nuclear transfer (NT). Cattle with high genetic potential have died suddenly without having their germplasm conserved in vitro. In such context, this research’s objective was to verify the maximum possible time for isolation of somatic cells to be used in NT after an animal’s death.
