This study is about memory and the importance of its development for Early Childhood Education. Analyzing the trajectory of this initial stage of schooling, with support in the historical-critical pedagogy, we observed that this phase has remained apart from a refined knowledge, staying for a long time linked to the assistenctial aspect, specifically the pedagogical field. As for memory, we started by the premises of authors from the historical cultural psychology, who argue that childrens are able to develop their memories incorporating cultures and observing other.
