Redes sociais como ferramentas pedagógicas no ensino de biologia

Today, we live a wild search for mobile internet access and participation in virtual networks. Youth and adults have come to share the same space of the networks where there is no established hierarchy and the flow of information is intense, to and participation is intense, to and participation in these virtual spaces is growing. Today, the school has the task of educating these young people active in social networks to society, however, there is a mismatch between the innovations in the area of technology and the current model of school which we live. From this perspective, the objective of this study was to investigate the contribution that social networks can offer to theaching of biology, especially on topics that require critical thinking, as GMO, Data were collected qualitatively, through the description of the activities that students exercised during the process of discussion of this matter, through 15 high school students from a public shool interviews. The results indicate that the appropriation of social networks as a pedagogical instrument contributes to the developement of critical thinking through controversial issues, and stimulates students' autonomy to manage their own knowledge. We also conclude that social networks help in the process of collective construction of knowledge and contextualization of concepts that are studied in the school's physical space. In this sense, using social networks can be effective to work side issues to the school environment, decentralizes the hierarchical view of the teacher and helped to make the most motivating teaching-learning process to the student, it explores a entertainment tool as formal environment for educationVivemos uma busca desenfreada por dispositivos móveis que oportunizam a participação em redes virtuais, pois jovens e adultos passaram a compartilhar o mesmo espaço das redes, onde não há hierarquia estabelecida e o fluso de informações é intenso, e a participação nesses espaços virtuais é crescente. Nesse cenário, a escola tem a função de educar jovens atuantes nas redes sociais para a sociedade, entretanto, há um descompasso entre as inovações na área das tecnologias e a inserção delas no modelo atual de escola que vivemos. Nesse ótica, o objetivo desse trabalho foi investigar a contribuição que as redes sociais podem oferecer para o ensino de biologia, em especial acerca de temas que envolvem manipulação de DNA, como os transgênicos, pois aos temas que abrangem diretamente a sociedade e exigem reflexão. Os dados foram obtidos qualitativamente, por meio da descrição das atividades que os alunos exercem durante o processo de discussão desse tema, e entrevistas de 15 alunos do ensino médio de uma escola pública. Os resultados indicam que a apropriação das redes sociais como instrumento pedagógico contribui para o desenvolvimento de raciocínio crítico mediante temas polêmicos, e estimula a autonomia dos alunos para gerir seu próprio conhecimento. Concluímos também que as redes sociais auxiliam no processo de construção coletiva do conhecimento e na contextualização de conceitos que são estudados no espaço físico da escola. Nesse sentido, utilizar essas ferramentas como mais um instrumento pedagógico, é eficaz para trabalhar assuntos paralelos ao ambiente escolar, descentralizando a visão hierárquica do professor contribuindo para tornar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem mais motivador ao aluno, pois explora uma ferramenta de entretenimento como ambiente formal para a EducaçãoCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES
