Qualitative study which aimed at analyzing the meanings of teaching/learning methodologies among teachers and undergraduate nursing students/UNESP/Botucatu. The study used interviews and analysis of the technique of the Discourse of the Collective Subject, structured in the context of the Theory of Social Representations. Two main ideas were found related to perception of students and teachers. One was that knowledge is constructed from the student, experienced, significant and the social interactions constructed between actors, where the student is active and participative.
