The Amazon biome has fruit with unique sensory characteristics and high concentration of nutrients. However, despite their nutritional and economic potential, these fruits lack an established commercialized market base. These fruits have yet to be marketed properly because they are almost always picked from the wild. An additional consequence is that technical and scientific data on them is scarce or often non-existent.
