As (im)possibilidades da etnomatemática no ensino escolar

This work aims to raise the possibilities of the use of the Ethnomathematics in the teaching of school mathematics, especially in aspects related to socio-cultural issues, in view of its universal character and its importance for the understanding of mathematics as a human construction. The teaching of mathematics is influenced by a belief that mathematics is only for the intelligent. With this, she assumes, consciously or unconsciously, a characteristic of social segregation and intellectual who has served as domination of the masses. Thus, this study may contribute to the teacher entered the school environment offering you one more tool in an attempt to succeed in the teaching and learning. We have forwarded this research in the theoretical literature, gathering input for the near future we can verify their efficacy or, more daring, we can contribute to an educational proposal that has as a prerequisite to sociocultural factors that underlie the teaching and learning of mathematics and that it will meet the real needs of the populationEste trabalho pretendeu levantar as possibilidades do uso da Etnomatemática no ensino da matemática escolar, principalmente nos aspectos relacionados às questões sócio-culturais, tendo em vista o seu caráter universal e a sua importância para a o entendimento da Matemática como construção humana. O ensino da Matemática sofre influências de uma crença de que a Matemática é só para os inteligentes. Com isso, ela assume, consciente, ou inconscientemente, uma característica de segregação social e intelectual e que tem servido como forma de dominação das massas populares. Com isso, esta pesquisa pode contribuir com o professor inserido no contexto escolar oferecendo-lhe mais uma ferramenta na tentativa de se obter êxito no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Encaminhamos esta pesquisa no campo teórico bibliográfico, reunindo subsídios para que num futuro próximo possamos verificar sua eficácia ou, de forma mais ousada, possamos contribuir para uma proposta educacional que tenha como pressuposto os fatores sócio-culturais que são subjacentes ao ensino e aprendizagem da matemática e que esta venha suprir as reais necessidades da populaçã
