Alfabetização: o texto e o contexto

This paper is the result of a research about literacy concept from official documents, dictionaries and linguists. As an expansion of literacy concept was observed through last century, this investigation searched for an opposite way, in other words, a contraction of the literacy concept in order to clarify its nature and this way to be the starting point for literacy teachers. The best way to literacy happens was also part of the research, then the text was considered like that, since it is a real communicative situation. Besides it should be a meaning system which can be accessed again any time. It would include many kinds of texts – oral or written – as long as they were recorded somehow. The best text form was investigated as well, in other words, the best speech genre for teaching literacy, once there are important elements which should be considered during the literacy acquisition, such as the encouragement to read and to think about the correct writing of the words. In the end, considerations were made concerning the literacy teacher‘s awareness about the context change when the text is used in a scholar context and about the skills acquired by the students which should be transported to other texts in varied contextsEste trabalho é o resultado da investigação sobre o conceito de alfabetização a partir de documentos oficiais, dicionários e lingüistas. Como foi observada uma expansão da definição de alfabetização durante o século passado, a pesquisa procurou fazer caminho inverso, isto é, recuar o conceito de alfabetização para que haja maior clareza de sua natureza e, dessa maneira, seja ponto de partida para alfabetizadores. Também fez parte da investigação o melhor meio para que ocorra o processo de aquisição da escrita, sendo o texto apontado como melhor caminho, uma vez que se caracteriza por ser uma situação real de comunicação. Além disso, ele deve ser um sistema de significados que pode ser acessado novamente a qualquer momento, o que englobaria vários tipos de produção textual, oral ou escrito, desde que fossem registrados de alguma maneira. Também foi pesquisada qual a melhor forma de texto, ou seja, o melhor gênero do discurso para que se dê a alfabetização, uma vez que há elementos importantes que devem ser levados em conta durante a aquisição da escrita, como o incentivo à leitura e à reflexão sobre a grafia das palavras. Ao final, foram feitas considerações a respeito da consciência do alfabetizador sobre a mudança do contexto textual durante a utilização do texto em contexto escolar e a respeito das habilidades adquiridas pelos alunos que deverão ser transportadas para outros textos em contextos diverso
