Significados e expectativas de crianças das camadas populares em relação à escolarização

Nowadays, we understand the childhood as a result of historical and social changes. This work aims to comprehend representations and expectations made by children from the popular classes in the initial years of Fundamentaql Education. We conducted a research with six students from a public school that attends children from urban popular layer's families. The research examines the meanings and representations of educational practices developed in the relationships established among teachers, students and families through their life stories. Among the results, we can say that the environment of differentiation in the school id perceived to the students because they introject teacher's representations about their performance. Scientific studies show that children crystallize a positive image of the shool when the speech and posture of the institution value and encourage learning. However, the students are challenged to produce better results in order to participate in extracurricular activities, which they are excluded todue indiscipline or learning difficulties. The mean of the schooling is highly influenced by the performance of students and also by the attitude of educators in the family and in the school. The theoretical review points out that when students have a good performance, the merit is attributed to stress and ease they have to acquire the learning contents. In other hand, struggling students or with a lag of content explains the academic problems stems from the lack of capacity and potential for acquisition of learning compatible with age, defining schooling as something necessary for training, but which is inaccessible in their life storiesCompreendemos aq infância na atualidade como um resultado das transformações históricas e sociais. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo compreender representações e expectativas proferidas pelas crianças das crianças das camadas populares nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Realizamos uma investigação com seis alunos e uma escola pública que atende crianças provenientes de famílias das camadas populares urbanas. A pesquisa procurou analisar analisar os significações e representações das práticas educativas desenvolvidas nas relações estabelecidas entre professores, família e alunos, através de suas histórias de vida. Dentre os principais resultados podemos afirmar que o ambiente de diferenciação na escola é perceptível aos alunos, pois estes introjetam representações das professoras acerca de seu desempenho. Os estudos científicos mostram que as crianças cristalizam uma imagem positiva da escola quando o discurso e a postura das instituição valorizam e incentivam a aprendizagem, contudo estas são desafiadas a apresentar melhores resultados para poder participar de atividades extra-curriculares, das quais são excluídas geralmente em função de indisciplina ou dificuldades de aprendizagem. O significado da escolarização é muito influenciado pelo desempenho dos alunos e também pela postura dos educadores na família e na escola. A revisão teórica destaca que quando os alunos apresentam um bom rendimento, o mérito é atribuído ao esforço e à facilidade que possuem para a aquisição dos conteúdos escolares. Já os alunos com dificuldade com dificuldade ou com defasagem de conteúdo explicam que os problemas escolares advém da falta de capaciade e de potencial para a aquisição de aprendizagem compatíveis com a faixa etária, definindo assim a escolarização como algo necessário para a formação, mas que é inacessível em suas histórias de vid
