The healing process of a wound is a perfect and coordinated cascade of cellular and molecular events which interacts to occur the restructuring of the tissue. In the past decades, wound care has gained a great technological and scientific advancement, in order to reduce healing time and lowering the risk of infection. Thus, the tissue engineering introduced new alternatives for the treatment of diseases and loss tissue, through the use of stem cells associated with biomaterials. Conventional fibrin sealants operate as a scaffold in the stem cells transplantation, by its biocompatibility, bioabsorption and ability to connect the cells with the sealant. This study aims to evaluate the wound healing response in rats skin, by the application of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) extracted from bone marrow of rats, in association with fibrin sealant derived from snake venom (FSSV), in order to evaluate whether if the application of the sealant promotes a better union of the dermal tissues and if improves healing of the surgical wound, either alone or in association with MSCs. For this purpose, 2 groups of comparative analysis were used. The group A (n = 32) was formed by two treatment subgroups, which the subgroup 1 was treated with the application of the FSSV in the right antimere and the subgroup 2 was treated with suture in left antimere. The animals of the group B (n = 32) also comprising two distinct subgroups of treatment, where the subgroup 3 was treated with FSSV associated with MSC in the right antimere and subgroup 4 was performed with suture associated with MSC in the left antimere of the animal. The methodology of the culture and proliferation of MSC was established and standardized in the laboratory. Nas últimas décadas, o tratamento de feridas vem ganhando um grande avanço tecnológico e científico, visando à redução no tempo de cicatrização e diminuição dos riscos de infecção. Assim, a bioengenharia de tecidos introduziu novas alternativas no tratamento de doenças e perdas teciduais por meio do uso de células-tronco associadas à biomateriais. Selantes de fibrina convencionais atuam como arcabouço no transplante de células-tronco pela biocompatibilidade, bio-absorção e a capacidade de ligação célula-selante. O presente estudo tem por objetivo avaliar a resposta cicatricial da ferida cirúrgica na pele de ratos com a aplicação de células-tronco mesenquimais (CTMs) extraídas da medula óssea de ratos em associação ao selante de fibrina derivado de peçonha de serpente (SFPS), visando avaliar se a aplicação do selante promove uma melhor união dos tecidos dérmicos e melhor cicatrização da ferida cirúrgica, tanto sozinha, quanto em associação com CTMs. Para tanto, foram utilizados 2 grupos de analise comparativa, sendo o grupo A (n=32) formado por dois subgrupos de tratamento, sendo o subgrupo 1 com aplicação de SFPS no antímero direito e subgrupo 2 com realização de sutura no antímero esquerdo dos animais e o grupo B (n=32) também formado por 2 subgrupos de tratamento distintos, sendo o subgrupo 3 tratado com SFPS associado a CTM no antímero direito e subgrupo 4 em que foi realizada sutura associada a CTM no antímero esquerdo dos animais.
