The increasing integration of renewable energies into the power grid is a promising approach to ensure the power supply considering decreasing reserves of fossil fuels and increasing environmental pollution caused by CO2 and radioactive waste. However, because of the increasing decentralization of power production and because of the weather-dependent fluctuations in solar energy and wind energy, considerable problems for the security of energy supplies arise.
