Die vorliegende Dissertation beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema der Metallartefaktreduktion in der Flachdetektor-Computertomographie. In ihr werden dedizierte Lösungsansätze vorgestellt für ein bisher ungelöstes Problem der medizinischen Diagnostik. Die vorgestellten Algorithmen ermöglichen nicht nur die Reduktion der störenden Metallartefakte, sondern sind auch in der Lage eine hohe Detailgenauigkeit um die metallischen Implantate, sowie eine hohe Homogenität in wasseräquivalenten Bereichen zu erzielen. Die Auswertung und Beurteilung der Verfahren wurde anhand von Kadaverstudien, sowie Phantom- und Patientendatensätzen überprüft und bewertet.
