Neue Wege für die Synthese von P-stereogenen Phosphinen und Stickstoff haltige Lewis Basen mit einem chiralen Rhenium-haltige-Strukturelement

In this thesis, new concepts for chiral rhenium-containing donor ligands and organocatalysts are developed. All new compounds are made accessible by sequences starting with the methyl complex (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH3). Chapter 1 reviews the diverse monocyclopentadienyl transition-metal-containing chiral phosphorus ligands that have been developed for catalysis. Chapter 2 describes the synthesis of diastereomerically pure monocyclopentadienyl rhenium-containing P-stereogenic phosphine derivatives and their applications as catalyst precursors in the kinetic resolution of alcohols and the palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation of cyclic substrates. Secondary P-stereogenic phosphine-boranes PH(BH3)R1R2 (R1/R2 = a, C(CH3)3/Ph, 60%; b, Cy/Ph, 45%; c, C(CH3)3/Cy, 64%) were prepared from PhPCl2 or P(C(CH3)3)Cl2. Subsequent deprotection with pyrrolidine gave the "free phosphines" PHR1R2 (2; R1/R2 = a, 60%; b, 84%; c, 73%). Additionally, different procedures gave PHR1Ph (R1 = 13, CH3, 63%; 14, 2-furyl, 21%). Complex (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH3) was treated with Ph3C+ PF6- and then 2, 13, or 14 to give the phosphonium salts (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-[(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2PHR1R2)]+ PF6- (R1/R2 = C(CH3)3/Ph, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-10+ PF6-, 94%; Cy/Ph, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-11+ PF6-, 90%; C(CH3)3/Cy, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-12+ PF6-, 90%; CH3/Ph, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-15+ PF6-, 86%; 2-furyl/Ph, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-16+ PF6-, 95%) as 50:50 diastereomeric mixtures. Diastereomeric enrichments of (SReRP)-10+ PF6- (42%, 95% de) and (SReSP)-10+ PF6- (34%, 95% de) were achieved by extractions with benzene, and those of (SReRP)-11+ PF6- (48%, 66% de), (SReSP)-11+ PF6- (36%, 96% de), (SReRP)-12+ PF6- (51%, 30% de), and (SReSP)-12+ PF6- (35%, 78% de) were achieved by recrystallizations from CH2Cl2/pentane. Additions of (CH3)3COK and BH3·S(CH3)2 to (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-10-12+ PF6- or (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-15-16+ PF6- afforded (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(BH3)R1R2) (R1/R2 = C(CH3)3/Ph, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-9, 90%; Cy/Ph, 89%; C(CH3)3/Cy, (SReRP)- and (SReSP)-18, 95%; CH3/Ph, 70%; 2-furyl/Ph, 63%). Diastereomeric separation (>99% de) was obtained for (SReRP)-9 (45%), (SReSP)-9 (45%), (SReRP)-18 (46%), and (SReSP)-18 (49%) by silica gel column chromatography. Treatment of the latter with pyrrolidine at 50 ºC and subsequent oxidation in air gave the diastereomerically pure phosphine oxides (SReRP)- or (SReSP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(O)(C(CH3)3)R2) (R2 = Ph, (SReRP)-22, 90%; (SReSP)-22, 93%; Cy, (SReRP)-23, 71%; (SReSP)-23, 66%). Deprotonation of (SReSP)-11+ PF6- with (CH3)3COK and addition of PhIO gave (SReRP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(O)CyPh) (84%, >99% de). In all processes, retention of configuration at phosphorus was observed. Crystal structures of [((SReRP)-10)0.5((SReSP)-10)0.5]+ PF6-·2.5CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-10+ PF6-·CH2Cl2, (SReRP)-10+ PF6-·1.5CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-11+ PF6-, (SReSP)-16+ PF6-, (SReRP)-9, (SReSP)-9·CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-18, (SReRP)-22·CH2Cl2, and (SReRP)-23·0.5H2O aid the preceding assignments. Both (SReSP)-11+ PF6- and (SReSP)-12+ PF6- were tested as catalytic precursors in the kinetic resolution of 1-phenylethanol. Similarly, (SReSP)-10+ PF6- (95% de), (SReRP)-10+ PF6- (95% de), (SReSP)-11+ PF6- (96% de), and (SReSP)-12+ PF6- (78% de) were assayed in palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylations of cyclohex-2-en-1-yl acetate (28) and cyclohept-2-en-1-yl acetate. Good results were obtained for the kinetic resolution of 28 with (SReSP)-11+ PF6- and [Pd(allyl)Cl]2 as catalytic precursors (S = 14.97). Chapter 3 describes the synthesis of rhenium-containing quinoline and isoquinoline complexes, their Brønsted basicities, and their attempted applications in Lewis base catalyzed reactions. The hydride complex (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(H) was treated with n-BuLi/TMEDA according to a published sequence to give Li+ [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)]-. Nucleophilic substitutions of the chlorine substituent in 2- and 4-chloroquinoline or 1-chloroisoquinoline gave [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ Cl- (16-H+ Cl-, 51%), (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(CH)2NC(CH)4C) (20, 73%), or [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ Cl- (23-H+ Cl-, 69%), respectively. Addition of excess KH to 16-H+ Cl- or 23-H+ Cl- gave the "free bases" (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CNC(CH)4C(CH)(CH)) (16, 95%) or (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CN(CH)2C(CH)4C) (23, 99%). Treatment of 16 with HBF4·OEt2 or [H(OEt2)2]+ [BArF]- gave the quinolinium salts [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ X- (16-H+ X-; X- = BF4-, 94%; [BArF]-, 98%). Addition of CF3SO3CH3 to 16, 20, or 23 gave the corresponding quinolinium salts [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ CF3SO3- (16-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 89%), [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(CH)2(NCH3)C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (20-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 98%), or [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (23-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 64%). Additional structural evidence for 23-H+ Cl- was sought; a reaction with CF3SO3CH3 gave [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (23-H+ CF3SO3-, 90%) and presumably CH3Cl. The NH 1H NMR signal of 23-H+ CF3SO3- was sharper than that of 23-H+ Cl-. Reaction of 16-CH3+ CF3SO3- and the nucleophile CH3Li gave the dihydroquinolinium complex (SReRC,RReSC)-[(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)C(CH)4C(CHCH3)(CH2))]+ CF3SO3- ((SReRC,RReSC)-19+ CF3SO3-, 76%) in diastereomerically pure form. Crystal structures of 16-H+ [BArF]-·CH2Cl2, 16-CH3+ CF3SO3-·2CH2Cl2, (SReRC,RReSC)-19+ Cl-·CH2Cl2, and 20-CH3+ CF3SO3- aid the preceding assignments. The quinolinium ligands adopt Re-C conformations that maximize overlap of their acceptor orbitals with the rhenium fragment HOMO. A Brønsted basicity scale for the new complexes was established by 1H and 31P NMR monitored proton transfer reactions of 16-H+ Cl-, 16, 23-H+ Cl-, 23-H+ Cl-, or 20 with (CH3)3COK, LiN(Si(CH3)3)2, Et3N, quinoline, isoquinoline, DMAP, DMAP-H+ Cl-, or Et3N-H+ Cl- in THF-d8. The Brønsted basicities of 16 and 23 were greater than those of the organic analogs, whereas 20 appeared to be less basic than 16 and 23. Complexes 16, 20, and 23 were tested in the catalytic cyanosilylation of benzaldehyde, the acylation of 1-phenylethanol, and the benzoin condensation of benzaldehyde. In all cases, the rhenium-substituted Lewis bases gave slower reactions than organic analogs.In dieser Arbeit wurden neue Konzepte für chirale rheniumhaltige Donorliganden und Organokatalysatoren entwickelt. Die sekundären P-stereogenen Phosphinborane PH(BH3)R1R2 (R1/R2 = a, C(CH3)3/Ph, 60%; b, Cy/Ph, 45%; c, C(CH3)3/Cy, 64%) wurden ausgehend von PhPCl2 oder P(C(CH3)3)Cl2 synthetisiert. Anschließendes Entschützen mit Pyrrolidin lieferte die "freien Phosphine" PHR1R2 (2; R1/R2 = a, 60%; b, 84%; c, 73%). Der Komplex (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH3) wurde mit Ph3C+ PF6- behandelt und anschließende Behandlung mit 2, 13, oder 14 ergab die Phosphoniumsalze (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-[(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2PHR1R2)]+ PF6- (R1/R2 = C(CH3)3/Ph, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-10+ PF6-, 94%; Cy/Ph, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-11+ PF6-, 90%; C(CH3)3/Cy, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-12+ PF6-, 90%; CH3/Ph, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-15+ PF6-, 86%; 2-Furyl/Ph, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-16+ PF6-, 95%) als 50:50 Diastereomerenmischungen. Diastereomerenanreicherungen von (SReRP)-10+ PF6- (42%, 95% de) und (SReSP)-10+ PF6- (34%, 95% de) wurden durch Extraktionen mit Benzol erreicht, diejenigen von (SReRP)-11+ PF6- (48%, 66% de), (SReSP)-11+ PF6- (36%, 96% de), (SReRP)-12+ PF6- (51%, 30% de), und (SReSP)-12+ PF6- (35%, 78% de) durch Umkristallisierungen aus CH2Cl2/Pentan. Zugabe von (CH3)3COK und BH3•S(CH3)2 zu (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-10-12+ PF6- oder (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-15-16+ PF6- ergab (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(BH3)R1R2) (R1/R2 = C(CH3)3/Ph, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-9, 90%; Cy/Ph, 89%; C(CH3)3/Cy, (SReRP)- und (SReSP)-18, 95%; CH3/Ph, 70%; 2-Furyl/Ph, 63%). Diastereomerentrennungen (>99% de) von (SReRP)-9 (45%), (SReSP)-9 (45%), (SReRP)-18 (46%), und (SReSP)-18 (49%) wurden durch Säulenchromatographie auf Kieselgel erreicht. Behandlung letzterer mit Pyrrolidin bei 50 ºC und nachfolgende Oxidation an Luft ergab die diastereomerenreinen Phosphinoxide (SReRP)- oder (SReSP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(O)(C(CH3)3)R2) (R2 = Ph, (SReRP)-22, 90%; (SReSP)-22, 93%; Cy, (SReRP)-23, 71%; (SReSP)-23, 66%). Deprotonierung von (SReSP)-11+ PF6- mit (CH3)3COK und Zugabe von PhIO ergab (SReRP)-(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CH2P(O)CyPh) (84%, >99% de). Bei allen Verfahren wurde Retention der Konfiguration am Phosphor beobachtet. Röntgenkristallstrukturen von [((SReRP)-10)0.5((SReSP)-10)0.5]+ PF6-•2.5CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-10+ PF6-•CH2Cl2, (SReRP)-10+ PF6-•1.5CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-11+ PF6-, (SReSP)-16+ PF6-, (SReRP)-9, (SReSP)-9•CH2Cl2, (SReSP)-18, (SReRP)-22•CH2Cl2, und (SReRP)-23•0.5H2O unterstützen die vorhergehenden Annahmen. Sowohl (SReSP)-11+ PF6- als auch (SReSP)-12+ PF6- wurden als Katalysatorvorstufen in der kinetischen Racematspaltung von 1-Phenylethanol getestet. In ähnlicher Weise wurden (SReSP)-10+ PF6- (95% de), (SReRP)-10+ PF6- (95% de), (SReSP)-11+ PF6- (96% de), und (SReSP)-12+ PF6- (78% de) in palladiumkatalysierten allylischen Alkylierungen von Cyclohex-2-en-1-ylacetat (28) and Cyclohept-2-en-1-ylacetat geprüft. Nukleophile Substitutionen des Chlorsubstituenten in 2- und 4-Chlorchinolin oder 1-Chlorisochinolin ergaben [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ Cl- (16-H+ Cl-, 51%), (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(CH)2NC(CH)4C) (20, 73%), beziehungsweise [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ Cl- (23-H+ Cl-, 69%). Zugabe von KH zu 16-H+ Cl- oder 23-H+ Cl- im Überschuss gab die "freien Basen" (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CNC(CH)4C(CH)(CH)) (16, 95%) oder (h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(CN(CH)2C(CH)4C) (23, 99%). Behandlung von 16 mit HBF4•OEt2 or [H(OEt2)2]+ [BArF]- ergab die Chinoliniumsalze [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ X- (16-H+ X-; X- = BF4-, 94%; [BArF]-, 98%). Zugabe von CF3SO3CH3 zu 16, 20, oder 23 lieferte die entsprechenden Chinoliniumsalze [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)C(CH)4C(CH)(CH))]+ CF3SO3- (16-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 89%), [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(CH)2(NCH3)C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (20-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 98%), oder [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (23-CH3+ CF3SO3-, 64%). Zusätzliche Beweise für die Struktur von 23-H+ Cl- wurden gesucht; die Reaktion mit CF3SO3CH3 lieferte [(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NH)(CH)2C(CH)4C)]+ CF3SO3- (23-H+ CF3SO3-, 90%) und wahrscheinlich CH3Cl. Reaktion von 16-CH3+ CF3SO3- mit dem Nukleophil CH3Li ergab den Dihydrochinoliniumkomplex (SReRC,RReSC)-[(h5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C(NCH3)C(CH)4C(CHCH3)(CH2))]+ CF3SO3- ((SReRC,RReSC)-19+ CF3SO3-, 76%) in diastereomerenreiner Form. Röntgenkristallsrukturen von 16-H+ [BArF]-•CH2Cl2, 16-CH3+ CF3SO3-•2CH2Cl2, (SReRC,RReSC)-19+ Cl-•CH2Cl2, und 20-CH3+ CF3SO3- unterstützen die vorhergehenden Annahmen. Die Chinoliniumliganden nehmen Re-C-Konformationen ein, die die Überlappung ihrer Akzeptororbitale mit dem HOMO des Rheniumfragments maximieren. Für die neuen Komplexe wurde eine Brønstedbasizitätsskala mittels 1H- und 31P-NMR-überwachter Protonentransferreaktionen von 16-H+ Cl-, 16, 23-H+ Cl-, 23-H+ Cl-, oder 20 mit (CH3)3COK, LiN(Si(CH3)3)2, Et3N, Chinolin, Isochinolin, DMAP, DMAP-H+ Cl-, oder Et3N-H+ Cl- in THF-d8 ermittelt. Die Brønstedbasizitäten von 16 und 23 waren größer als die ihrer organischen Analoga, wobei 20 weniger basisch zu sein scheint als 16 und 23.
