Das Verformungsverhalten und die Verformungskinetik von technisch reinem Titan (Ti-2) und der Titanlegierung TiAl6V4 wurde im Temperaturbereich von 150°C bis 650°C (entsprechend niedrigen homologen Temperaturen von 0.22 bis 0.48) untersucht. Ti-2 ist im Gegensatz zu TiAl6V4 rekristallisiert mit großen Körnern (ca. 50 µm) und geringer Ausgangsversetzungsdichte. Der Gehalt an Fremdatomen ist sehr gering (0.5 at.-%). Ti-2 zeigt je nach Temperaturbereich stark unterschiedliches Verfestigungsverhalten, das bei niedrigen bis 350°C von einer starken Zunahme von Verformungszwillingen im Druck charakterisiert ist.
