In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Einfluss von Rauhigkeitselementen auf wandgebundene Strömungen mittels direkter numerischer Simulation untersucht. Die studierten Geometrien bestanden aus zweidimensionalen Rauhigkeitselementen, die senkrecht zur Hauptströmungsrichtung auf zwei ebene, parallele Wände aufgesetzt wurden. Es wurden zwei Strömungsfälle untersucht. Für sie ergaben sich die mit der ganzen Kanalhöhe und der mittleren Geschwindigkeit in der Kanalmitte gebildeten Reynoldszahlen zu Re_d ~ 969 bzw.
