Neurale Stammzellen (NSZ) sind, mit der Fähigkeit zur Selbsterneuerung und Differenzierung in Neurone und Gliazellen, multipotent. Die Untersuchung von Regulatoren der Eigenschaften von NSZ, könnte zur Steuerung ihrer Bestimmung beitragen. Das Low-density Lipoprotein Receptor-related Protein 1 (LRP1) ist in NSZ des sich entwickelnden zentralen Nervensystems (ZNS) angereichert, seine Funktion aber unklar. Das Ziel meines Projektes war die Untersuchung der Rolle von LRP1 in NSZ des ZNS. Durch konditionelle Deletion von LRP1 konnten LRP1-Knockout (ko) und -Wildtyp (WT)-Zellen verglichen werden.
