Bei vielen Arten sind die beiden Hemisphären spezialisiert auf verschiedene kognitive Funktionen. Daher könnten die beiden Hemisphären unterschiedliche Arten der Verarbeitung visueller Informationen haben. Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Auswirkungen des Lernens auf visuelle Reaktionen innerhalb des Entopallium zu untersuchen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Lernen die neuronalen Antworten im linken Entopallium stärker beeinflusst. Da dies auf lateralisierte Top-down Einflüsse beruhen könnte, wurde die Wirkung der Wulst auf die visuellen Reaktionen hin untersucht.
