The paper presents the results obtained in the process of improvement of the grapevine assortment in the Republic of Moldova, especially regarding the creation of new varieties, including seedless, with multiple resistance to abiotic and biotic unfavorable factors of environment, increased adaptability to the local conditions – definitively environmentally friendly varieties as a platform for the development of ecological vitiviniculture, designed to cope with the socio-economic and climatic challenges
