This review paper aims to provide a summary and overview of the influence of Lev Vygotsky (1896-1934) on education, language, and literacy from a multidimensional perspective. Vygotskyan perspective toward education in general and literacy, in particular, have been discussed immensely in the areas of language acquisition, child mental development, educational psychology, and social psychology. The current paper strives to provide an inclusive, but brief, vignette on the intersections and variations of implementation of Vygostkyan viewpoints in the above academic contexts.
