Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama dan Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Kerja Keras dalam Novel Pergi Karya Tere Liye: Kajian Psikologi Sastra

ABSTRACT Nadyatul Husna. K1214039. THE MAIN CHARACTER’S INTERNAL CONFLICT AND THE EDUCATIONAL HARD WORK CHARACTERS VALUE NOVEL PERGI BY TERE LIYE: LITERATURE PSYCHOLOGY STUDY. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. October 2018. The purpose of this research are to describe: (1) intrinsic elements of novel Pergi by Tere Liye; (2) characterization of the main character; (3) main character’s internal conflict; and (4) the value of hard work character education value. This research is descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted by analysis content method and use psychology of literature strategy. A subject study conducted with purposive sampling. Collecting data do with the documents and interviews. Validity used the theory triangulation and source triangulation. Analysis technique used data analysis interactive model. The results show that: (1) the theme raised in the novel is a struggle. There are 25 characters in the novel and their characters were found. The plot is a forward flow. The story set in the Capital of the State and several countries in the Asia Pacific. The point of view of the first person the main character. His message is to work for goodness; (2) the main character in this novel is Bujang and obtained its characterization through three dimensions, the dimension of physiological, psychological, and sociological; (3) Bujang characters have elements id, ego, and superego, which sometimes between the three are not in line and cause inner conflict in themselves; (4) the value of hard word character education are the most dominant in this novel..
