Abstract This research aims to investigate the influence of rockwool reinforcement and fiberglass reinforcement on mechanical properties and tribological properties of composite brake material. Composite was manufactured by using a hot press with temperatures of 160ºC. Brake lining composites are tested with bending and wear testing in accordance with ASTM D790 and G99. Coefficient of friction testing is conducted with two variation. The first test is conducted with the sliding speed are 3m/s, 6m/s, 9m/s, and 12m/s with a constant contact pressure of 1 mpa.
