PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA BAGI PESERTA DIDIK TUNARUNGU

ABSTRACT Luqman Hidayat, S041502009. 2017. Development of Multimedia Based Learning Materials to Improve Results of Science Learning For Deaf Students. Thesis. Lecture I: Furqon Hidayatullah, Lecture II: Gunarhadi. Magister of Special Education in Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. This research purpose is to know the implementation of science learning for deaf students, the needs of teachers in teaching science lessons for deaf students, the development of multimedia based learning materials in accordance with the needs and characteristics of deaf students, the validity of product based on expert judgment, the readability of product based on preliminary field testing, the quality of product based on main field testing, and the effectiveness product to improving science learning result of deaf students. The research method used the research and development (R&D) were method with several research steps. The respondents media expert, material expert, special education expert, teachers, and students with hearing impairment. The result of research showed that implementation of science learning was still going on conventionally, teachers needed new innovation that suits characteristics and needs of deaf students. Product development included determination the subject and learning goal, createed storyboard, manufactured the products and its guidebooks, the validity of product included in very good category, the readability of product included in very good category, the quality of product included in very good category. The research concludes that multimedia based learning is effective in improving the learning result of students, with a probability level of 5%.
