Short birth length need to get special attention because it will have an impact on the stunting.. Mothers’ weight gain during pregnancy is one factor representing fetal growth in the uterus. Parents’ height’ also contributes to determining the baby’s birth length. This study was aimed to analyze the correlation of mother’s weight gain during pregnancy and parent’s height to baby’s birth length. Methods:This study was an analytical observation research with cohort retrospective. The subject of research consisted of 76 pregnant women at the third trimester. Data of pregnant women’s weight gain was collected from KIA (Mother and Child Health) book. Parents’ height was measured using microtoice with precision of 0.1 cm. Data of birth length was measured using length board with precision of 0.1 cm. Data analysis was carried out using Spearman’s correlation and multiple linear regression. Results:The subject of research has the mean weight gain (16.6 kg ± 0.39 kg) during pregnancy, mothers’ height (151.8 cm ± 5.1 cm), fathers’ height (162.4 cm ± 5.6 cm) and birth length (47.7 cm ± 1.8 cm). The result of analytical test showed that mothers’ height was not related to birth length (r=0,142, p = 0.219). The result of multivariate test showed the effect of mothers’ weight gain during pregnancy (b= -0,219, p= 0.005), fathers’ height (b= 0.058, p= 0.0,074), birth weight (b= 1,514, p= 0.041), gestational age (b=0,685, p=0,001), protein intake (b= 0.082, p= 0.001), on birth length Conclusion:Mothers’ weight gain during pregnancy and fathers’ height were related significantly to baby’s birth length.
