Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Deskripsi melalui Model Pembelajaran Concept Sentence dengan Media Roll The Can

DESCRIPTION ESSAY WRITING SKILLS IMPROVEMENT THROUGH CONCEPT SENTENCE LEARNING MODEL WITH ROLL THE CAN MEDIA (Classroom Action Research in 3th grade students of SD Negeri Setono 95 Surakarta academic year of 2016/2017). The learning process quality and result quality of description essay writing skills the third grade students of SD Negeri Setono 95 Surakarta is still low. The purpose of this research was to improve the learning process quality and result quality of description essay writing skills through concept sentence learning model with roll the can media. The research was a classroom action research conducted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were the third grade students of SD Negeri Setono 95 Surakarta as many as 32 students. The data of this research were gathered from the teacher and the students. The data collecting techniques were test, observation, interview, and documentation. The data validity used content validity and technique triangulation. The analyze data used interactive model. The research result indicate average score of class before action (pre-cycle) is 57.2 with the minimum learning completeness of 12.5%. Following the treatment, the class average scores become 66,5 with the minimum learning completenees of 40.6% in Cycle I. The class average scores increased become 84,6 with the minimum learning completeness of 90.6% in Cycle II. Based on the results of the analysis, it could be concluded that: using concept sentence model and roll the can media can improve the learning process quality and result quality of description essay writing skills the third grade students of SD Negeri Setono 95 Surakarta in the academic year of 2016/2017.
