PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN PROSES PEMBENTUKAN TANAH MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE MAKE A MATCH PADA SISWA KELAS VA SDN. KLECO 2 NO.242 SURAKARTA TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017

The aim of research is to improve the understanding of process land formation by applying cooperative learning model of type make a match at the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kleco 2 No 242 Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017. The form of this research is classroom action research (CAR), that conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of four phases, there are planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research are the teacher and 30 students of class at the fifth grade of SD Negeri Kleco 2 No 242 Surakarta, in the academic year 2016/2017. The techniques of collecting data of this research are observation, interview, test, and documentations. The techniques of analyzing data of this research is the interactive analyzing model. The validity test of this research is using the triangulation technique of source and triangulation techniques. The results showed the understanding the process of land formation at the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kleco 2 No 242 Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017. This is evidenced by the average value of the understanding of the process of land formation of students before the action of 53.96 with the percentage of 36,66% mastery, then increased in the first cycle to 73.96% with the percentage of classical completeness of 76.66%, and more increased again in the second cycle of 87.5 with a percentage of classical completeness of 90%. Based on the result of the research which is held in two cycle, it can be conclude that cooperative learning model of type make a match can improve understanding the process of land formation at the fifth grade student of SD Negeri Kleco 2 No 242 Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017.
