THE ANALYSIS ON THE ATTEMPT OF DEALING WITH NON PERFORMING LOAN IN PT. BANK TABUNGAN NEGARA (PERSERO) TBK. SLAMET RIYADI SOLO BRANCH OFFICE ANNISA DWINDA F3614017 The objective of research was to find out the development of Non-Performing Loan (NPL) in PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Slamet Riyadi Solo Branch Office compared with public bank in Surakarta, to find out the factor resulting in non-performing loan and constraint arising in its management, to find out the attempt of dealing with non-performing loan in PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Slamet Riyadi Solo Branch Office. The research method employed was qualitative one, descriptive research, information obtained was explained in detailed. The types of data used in this research were primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from direct interview, and secondary data from library study and other written source. Considering the result of research, it can be found that NPL rate in PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Slamet Riyadi Solo Branch Office was higher during 2014-2016, compared with that in other public banks in Surakarta; the factor resulting in non-performing loan and the constraint arising in its management came from internal and external factors; and the attempt of dealing with non-performing loan was taken by means of building, restructuring and settlement of non-performing loan. PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. The Slamet Riyadi Branch Office was recommended to optimize the building for non-performing loan and to improve the use of system more carefully in analyzing the potential debtor in order to mitigate the non-performing loan occurrence.
